Life is like a Ball of Yarn
I thought of it.
How much am I able to manipulate this hundreds and hundreds of yards of yarn?
How much of it do I want to use?
What do I want to create with it?
Do I need to use someone else's pattern, or do I need to create my own?
Do I like this color, does this color do the design justice.
How will I please my customers or gift recipients?
How will I do, how will I be accepted, will this make me laugh and be happy, or sad?
These are great questions. As I asked of myself during other life's applications, I asked of myself through art.
It is fulfilling because both life and art compliment each other,
keeping me grounded, keeping my eyes on the ball.
Both sewing, crocheting and life's activities feel the same to me.
Both are life's desires.
It only depends on how well I manipulate the materials that I have been given.
Life is like a ball of yarn! It's up to me to know what to make of it.
